Just as our bodies continually shed skin to accommodate growth, we must also shed those things that prevent our mental and spiritual maturity.
Great wisdom cannot enter a narrow mind.
The new things God would reveal are often hampered by outdated mindsets and behaviors.
Growth requires a fresh perspective and a willingness to do things we haven’t done before.
Break your “spiritual” routine.
Expand your circle to include people who can build you up, not tear you down.
Read a new book.
Try different food.
Take time to enjoy life.
Make room for God’s increase.
Sometimes the blessings we seek require us to shed the skin we’re in…
And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved…

So lovely and true. Our minds and hearts must be open to the Spirit’s continued transformation or we will not continue to embrace the daily renewal Christ has to offer. Bless you, sweet sister.

Hi Lilka,
Outdated mindsets and beliefs keep us from growing and from seeing reality. But by shedding our spiritual skin often, we see that changing our perspective can shift the way we understand our situations. Thanks for the insight.

A different way to look at a truth. We all need to try new things and be open to the thought that maybe Abba has something new in store for us. 😉 hugs.

A unique perspective and oh so true Lilka! I like the quote about great wisdom and narrow minds. It is a process of growth to try new things, new routines. This is something we all need to do…thanks so much for the reminder! Steve

So many people need to do more of that, Lilka! The problem is many like to “teach” first before they try to “learn!”
Enjoy your evening…Steve
