Big Ears

“My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.” James 1:19 NIV

“for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice,” Psalm 95:7 NIV

“Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.”
Psalms 143:8 KJV

  2. I used to teach my students that “listen” and “silent” have the same letters. We can’t listen to Him unless we are silent and still.

My new prayer: Lord increase the size of my ears so I can better hear You!

Thanks for this, Lilka. Have a blessed weekend.

  4. I was pondering the big ears – and maybe pondered too long. I see an extended hand of welcome on the left hand side: “come … listen … with me … today … right now … it’s easy …”
