New Year, New You?

He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
and put their trust in him.

Blessed is the one
    who trusts in the Lord,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods.
Psalm 40:3-4 NIV

Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

new-year-new-you-1-2017-2p  You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4:22-24 NIV

  1. Hi Lilla,
Happy new year to you and your family!
    These are some powerful scriptures.
What I like about Ephesians 4:22-24 is it says for us to put off the old and put on the new.
It doesn’t say to wait on God to do it for us.
This is a reminder that we have to have the right attitude if we want to see a positive change in our lives.
We have to reevaluate our beliefs.
Being a Christian is like growing up all over again and starting new.
    Thanks!
